This excursion follows the tracks and back roads of the island, away from the tourist routes. You pass whitewashed villages, olive groves and palm groves before reaching quiet beaches.
In Guellala, a village of potters, you watch clay being worked and visit a workshop. The day ends with a stop on the coast at sunset, depending on the season.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if I cancel?
Cancellation terms depend on the trip and the suppliers (hotels, carriers). They are explained before confirmation. Let us know as early as possible if you cannot travel.
Are the excursions suitable for children?
Most outings in Djerba suit families. For longer tours (southern Tunisia, desert), mention the children’s ages in your request so we can advise you.
Can the programme be customised?
Yes, duration, stops, hotels and activities can be adapted on request. Tell us your wishes in the form and we will send a proposal.
Are flamingos guaranteed?
No. Flamingo presence depends on the season, tides and weather. It is more frequent in autumn and winter but can never be guaranteed.
How do I book an excursion in Djerba with 3H Travel?
Message us on WhatsApp at +216 97 443 337, call +216 31 531 689 or fill in the excursion form with your dates, number of people and hotel. We send you a detailed proposal; the booking is firm only after our written confirmation.
How long does it take to get from Djerba to the Sahara?
Allow 3.5 to 4 hours by road to Douz (about 230 km) as to Ksar Ghilane (a little over 200 km). Ksar Ghilane works as a long day with an early start; for Douz and a night in a tent, the two-day option is more comfortable.
When can you see flamingos in Djerba?
Mostly from autumn to spring, when flamingos winter in the Ras Rmel lagoon. In summer they are rare or absent. Their presence varies from year to year: the boat trip is always a lovely day at sea, but sightings are never guaranteed.
Are the excursions suitable for children?
Yes for most: pirate boat, Djerba Explore, cultural island tour, camel ride. The long days to Tataouine, Matmata or Ksar Ghilane suit children from about 6-7 years. Tell us the children’s ages: we adapt the pace, request car seats and choose a private outing if needed.
Guellala pottery, Houmt Souk weaving, silver jewellery, basketry, and on the table: grilled fish, Djerban couscous, rouz jerbi, brik and pastries. Where to see the craftsmen, what to taste and what to bring home.
